Coming soon -

Hello - My first month of "retirement" is almost gone.  Traveling, recovering from a pollen attack, and adjusting to my new life has made the time fly.  I'm working on a plan to participate in Hay Days at Utica, MT in September.  There is much more to my plan, including cards and pottery, but here is Step 1.  Have a blessed day!

Experimenting...

One of my many goals is to incorporate native clay into my pottery pieces.  This photo shows the first test for a certain variety of Yogo clay from the Little Belt Mountains. If it works as I am hoping, it will produce a versatile, rich brown slip when fired to cone 5-6.  The test looks extremely promising!

No fooling, what a great day for a change!

While thankful for past experiences, I am ready to move on!  Today is the day for a new beginning!   Looking back at these pieces only makes me want to paint more and make more pottery!!  May Frank find things to do so I won’t drive him crazy!
